Pros

Decent pay. they will hire anyone. no physical activity required. 75% of support staff is actually helpful.

Cons

Training is absolutely terrible! They definitely throw you to the wolves when you start production and all you can do is hope your supervisor is present and/or in a good enough mood to give you the help you need. No one is ever ready to take calls and unfortunately the customer suffers until the advisor figures out what to do or even where to start. It took me over a month in production to feel any amount of comfort helping people. Easy to get fired if your attendance is poor. The higher up support staff is literally useless. The only thing they are good at is telling you to take another call. The place is full of hypocrisy. support staff is very strict about the rules such as dress code unless the offender is support staff him or herself ofcourse. I was forced to take a promotion and support more lines of business even though I expressed my discomfort with the line of business I was already supporting. Even though I was forced into the promotion, I have yet to see the raise for it and it has been almost a month. It is made known that you are easily replaceable so more often than not you get bullied into doing exactly what support staff wants you to do.

Pros

Paid on time, provided equipment, decent benefits from day one, nice co-workers

Cons

Sweatshop mentality of the supervisors, threats of demotion/termination for medical leave, random layoffs when calls didn't justify hours, with those same hours shifted to supervisors to keep them active. Unable to print paystubs, had to request everything through a supervisor, and provide copious amounts of private information to have the request honored. Corrosive environment - I left as soon as I got another offer, gave 24 hours notice (and I've never, ever done that before). Unless you're on the verge of homelessness or starvation, avoid at all costs.
