Pros
All of the following will vary by location::: Great People to work with, Lots of great opportunities to advance within the company as long as one is motivated and determined to do so. Tons of opportunities to relocate to various locations within the USA and many other countries. In the 2014 - 2015 year there is a ton of new positions opening up with the revamping of DHL's processes. Overall great company and they train employees in classrooms for 6-8 weeks to ensure they are comfortable with their job operations (entry level and some upper level also)
Cons
Even though it's great company overall there are some downfalls. The morale is low due to low pay, more responsibilities being added without additional pay, With KPI's (Goals to reach per day) being the main driver of everday operations for every employee, customer service suffers immensely as many don't wish to take their time to ensure that every customer is happy with the service they are paying for and helping them get their cargo in an enjoyable and quick manner. Also the KPI's place immense stress on employees and it doesn't help that they are increasing the requirements each year and again, the pay doesn't match in many cases. So overall the downfalls are Customer service (internal and external), Lack of connection between the different locations of the company internationally and locally (not mentioned before), low pay, and low morale.
