Pros
decent benefits and average hours. you can learn a lot if you work for the right group or person. company has internal e-learning classes that everyone can enroll and learn at his own pace. it also has a very strong relationship with colleges/universities where it recruits summer interns from both the undergrad and grad programs. most interns are offered a full time position.
Cons
a lot of politics and people not willing to share information. difficult to get a promotion unless you make sure to strategize visibility to upper management. it used to sponsor for MBA but it's since been cut this year due to trimming on cost. company still sponsors for certificate and other short programs and conferences. managers sometimes take credit for your work and they don't do much themselves.
