Pros

Customers. Good to meet great people.

Cons

Without a doubt, the worst retail company I've ever been duped into coming to work for. The store I took as manager had already gone through 4 store managers in less than one year. Red flag...stupid me. With over 25 years retail, I was told what was basically lies from day one. I was the man that could turn that store around. They forgot to tell me about the previous managers, the armed robberies with shots fired, that they were 5 months behind on freight, planograms, that there over 100 totes of product/merchandise in recieving as far back as 2015 that had never been worked, that there was over 1200 outside on the floor and little to no proper signage. The first 40 days there was no day off because off "issues". Should have quit then. Another red flag. Dahhh. You can not leave the building for lunch because there is NO coverage to do so. ABSOLUTELY no family time. If you go to church...forget about it. Many of us have trusted Glassdoor to get the lowdown on companies. Some may think these negative comments come from a angry disgruntled non productive employee. Not so. I'm a highly educated professional with a level head and numerous awards from my previous employer of 20 years. I'm over 50. If you have never heeded advice from anyone... for Gods sake and yours... Don't even think about working for this highly deceptive company. Today I Quit.

Pros

The job itself is easy. The cash register, stocking (especially the totes and dry truck) and cleaning are so simple however there are certain things that make it difficult, although the work itself is not (under the right circumstances.)

Cons

They never have enough people on shift so it’s always difficult to get things done. It seems like all the managers I know from the store I worked at and the surrounding ones are all so deep into drama it made me wonder if I was back in high school. Dry truck always seems to bring far too much and the stores are so little that overstock is a huge issue here. The reason I ultimately left was due to severe mistreatment and some safety concerns I had regarding some past experiences. I am very glad I left and I would not ever go back.
