If you're not satisfied with the client you're working for, you can change it.
Upgrading your level is very clear and formal: twice a year they have assessment where you can prove you deserve upgrading.
They have mentoring program. If you feel you need some help before assessment, mentor can help you with that.
If you work by L1 and H1B visa, they can apply for green card for you. They attach to you your personal assistant which helps you with the process and can answer all questions you might possibly have.

Almost everything depends on client you're working for: management, processes, etc.
