Pros

I started with a pink sunglasses, happy to have this job and all the advantages. But soon i realized that it is not all green as i thought. Possibility for training only if manager think it worth his current needs. Great advantages: company truck with gas card insurance paid. Good medical dental (vision +\-) Easy going work flow If you have job number car eat for free. Paid OT if you get it Great life balance opportunities Good place to work if you have no ambition for your life and just want to work under the radar until your retirement.

Cons

Micro-Management ... it is a big multinational company with fair ethics policies but its just a facade everyone closes their eyes when wrong is done and everyone is covering theirs behinds. When they hire employees they are supposed to be bilingual, all the trainings and safety are given in english and yet employee evaluations are not done by the system as everywhere else. Its done by the manager who says it not in french so we cant do that... because we wont understands the questions..... hummm we can understand the questions about arcflash safety ( one employee exception) but not about our objectives and performance... that's scary!!!! racism and xenophobia is obvious, Because most of the crew and the manager are french, english workers or managers will get the good dose of criticism behind their backs and hypocrisy in their face. if you're the lucky one to be a foreigner you are guaranteed to get haters on your back, they will work on your bad reputation and soon or later your manager will believe them. The same manager will trust those haters as a reliable workers when all they do is a crappy job abusing of overtime and man hours reserved for the job. They will break the company equipment and steal supplies, will not declare accidents etc...Mean while less favourite employees must find a way of how they may be productive when all they can do is arrive and sit in the office watching the wall. For some reason technicians are more valuable than engineers and it is almost a handicap of being one. This is not discouraged by manager because he is simply not even a technician. HR presence is non-existent, basically the manager (HR hat) listens to you and nothing happens after. From the first interview my manager told me that if my tools are stolen or broke company will reimburse me... yet my truck was robbed when parked at job office and my manager asked me to use my home insurance to pay my tools. Work related tools inside the job parking lot .... get the picture? It helped me to decide that its time to leave but im sure that my manager thinks that i staged it before leaving. Because he never paid me my tools. I wont be the judge, just hope it will give him enough money in his budget for his bonus to retire happily after.

Pros

whelp, their hiring. So if you're looking for an entry level position, they've got them open

Cons

Where do I start? If your goal is to make a tangible impact, change things for the better, or grow a modern career, look elsewhere. Stifling Red Tape: The company is drowning in administrative bloat and ancient, worn-out processes. It is nearly impossible to implement meaningful improvements because every minor change is strangled by bureaucracy. The organization simply lacks the capability to scale effectively. (They still haven't fully implemented Bussman, who they acquired more than a decade ago) Short-Sighted Leadership: Upper management is entirely hyper-focused on hitting short-term quarterly metrics at all costs, completely sacrificing long-term strategy and sustainable operational health. Subpar Compensation & Benefits: The base salary is hardly competitive with the current market. The benefits package is remarkably weak—health insurance options are disappointing, and you start with a meager two weeks of vacation. Zero Performance Incentive: There is no financial upside for regular engineers. Bonus potential is completely locked away until you reach a "manager of managers" level, leaving the actual individual contributors with no skin in the game. If you are a paper-pusher who thrives in a rigid, stagnant environment, you will love it here. If you want to build the future, go somewhere else.
