Pros

Beautiful new campus, great onsite cafeteria with subsidized prices, company is performing well and stock reflects this. Some teams are great and some people are very happy and have worked here for years. Great benefits and compensation.

Cons

Culture in some departments is TOXIC. Manufacturing onsite (which changes the culture of the rest of the company), heavy focus on manufacturing practices in other business areas that do not lend themselves to that (creative roles). Too heavy with metrics that measure the wrong things, culture that easily blames and tries to find scapegoats. Unfortunately for me, the team I am in has high attrition, we have to deal with many people who are in manager/supervisor roles that are aggressive, rude, bullies and plain unhelpful. They will not help, and simply tell you to "read the procedure", and when you make a mistake, since there is very little coaching or help, they will mark it against you on their metrics, and blame you for your failures, instead of collaborating and providing coaching to let you succeed. There is also a rat problem in some buildings and there are rat traps everywhere. The rat problem persists even with a policy that no plants or food should be kept on people's desks. The company is also very hierarchical, and for people who come from other industries such as tech, this is just the wrong type of environment. Due to this hierarchy, some people have access to "Reserved parking" even though there is a major parking issue on site where at least around 100 cars are double parked every day with a "valet" service. This is just plain wrong, since many reserved spots remain unused day after day. There are also long hours for some people, I usually work around 10-11 hours every day and then at home a few times per week, I need to spend 1-2 hours catching up with email or other work and sometimes I have to prepare reports on weekends. Company is also VERY old-fashioned, there is no telecommuting allowed, people use skype conferencing (but add a phone conference line to talk on the phone instead of using VOIP through Skype. Yes, it does not make sense). Dress code is very formal and makes you feel you are back in the 80's/90s.
