Pros

Amazing campuses, if you are lucky enough to work at Irvine HQ or the Swiss office. Compensation can be really good. Some truly awesome employees.

Cons

Edwards cares more about internal politics and how things look than actually doing the right thing for patients or employees. You constantly hear about “optics”. There is a lot of hype about the company caring about employees and community, but really it is just feels like a vicious game of Russian Roulette. This company should change its name from Edwards to Mussallems, because of Mike’s complete and arbitrary control over all aspects fo the business. There is zero sympathy for business lines or employees who have a tremendous amount of work dumped on them. If a temporary situation requires 70 or 80 hours of work for 3 or 4 months, no one cares. And if you are exhausted, they’ll likely as to fire you as to promote you if you mention it to management. There is crazy employee turnover, sometimes as high as 40% in some units / regions, however HR massages the statistics to show that its “actually” less than 5% turnover. Management often makes unpredictable and surprising changes constantly with little thought for long-term consequences. Close-minded attitude. If you ask about their affirmative action activities, and are not a woman or minority, be prepared for significant blow back.
