Pros

Usually great compensation and raises (except this year), fantastic health insurance, competent coworkers

Cons

Epic is not the goofy, fun, forward-thinking company it once was and they've solidified a fear I've had for years that they flat out don't care about the safety, well-being, and happiness of their employees. They're unsupportive of families in particular, but are forcing all staff to put themselves at risk. Can't get on the bus you used to take because they're limiting capacity? Blindly trust someone you've never met before just because they're your coworker and grab a ride with them! No childcare because schools are shut down? Leave your 6 year old home alone and come it to the office! If they put half as much effort into finding ways to SUPPORT remote work and engaging employees in a community while they WFH as they do in to trying to convince everyone of their archaic viewpoint (see: erecting literal walls in tiny offices so people feel safe enough to be on a campus with 9k other people in the middle of a pandemic) then they could be a leader in the tech industry and actually keep talent around long term. By deciding that their entire identity is wrapped up in a few dozen buildings and refusing to update policies to align with new norms, they've positioned themselves poorly for a future where 95% of work can be done virtually and the fresh talent they'll be trying to attract know it.
