Pros

Pay is nice, food is delicious, campus is great Coworkers are generally very nice and helpful* Lots of different things to do

Cons

*When they actually have time to help you... There's so much to do that it's overwhelming. You're warned about it, but that doesn't really soften the blow, especially if you don't have a background in tech. I definitely didn't get the worst of it, but it was still rough - I wanted a 9-5 but I got an 8-6. When my team started losing QMs, I got saddled with a bunch more responsibilities after less than 6 months working there. It's nice to feel recognized I guess but I feel like I've never had time to get comfortable doing one thing before being thrust into the next. There is no flow state.

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
