Pros

Good base salary with consistent commission (commission could be more generous for the amount of money the company makes, but I'll take it) Not much pressure unless Area Manager takes a disliking to you Mental/physical health taken very seriously A variety of really generous perks Flexible WFH policy or fully remote depending on which office

Cons

You don't learn anything new about sales or consulting, you hit your ceiling very quickly and then it becomes far too monotonous, and then Area Managers wonder why you're not trying as hard Too many politics, being promoted or getting experience with different department depends on how well you're connected and liked, nothing to do with results or efforts, you may as well be an outsider with how many hoops they make you jump through to land new opportunity within the company. I know a handful of people who should have been promoted twice over by this point, yet they're kept in their box Far too many changes, the company move the goal posts almost every month, there's too much going on at one time and it can be incredibly overwhelming, and then you get criticized for not knowing every single thing because you didn't read that 1 slack message out of 100 Culture depends on who's team you're on, Area Managers aren't aligned with how they run their teams, it sometimes feels like you're working for separate companies Area Managers and leaders can be too competitive with each other, meaning they're capable of manipulating you to get you to do things which aren't actually anything to do with your target, but will make you believe eyes are on you, just so they can out perform their peer Targets don't make sense or align with need-based conversations, in all fairness I believe they're changing this, but it should have been thought of and implemented years ago. Limited training/opportunities to grow, because the salary is so comfortable and the commission is regular, people get stuck and don't believe they can acquire the same (or better) elsewhere Too many fake personalities, everyone's wearing a mask and it's hard to find genuine friends/colleagues who want to look out for you, everyone's playing a game and the culture has become toxic It's becoming a revolving door, similar to a recruitment company, they're losing top talent each month, whereas when I first joined everyone seemed so loyal, but in recent years the wheels have fallen off and people are realizing this place isn't all that, and there are better opportunities elsewhere

Pros

Incredible benefits! Quality, affordable medical insurance, 401k, wellness reimbursement, travel reimbursement, plenty of PTO, etc. They have fresh food cooked daily for breakfast and lunch, available for purchase. They also have free food, such as yogurt cups, cheese sticks, and shelf-stable fruits available to all employees. The benefits keep many of us here. I will say, have had two supervisors so far, and they’ve each been great. Very understanding, yet motivating. I haven’t yet met a supervisor who didn’t value their supervisees.

Cons

The main digital platforms we use do not function efficiently, which makes a noticeable impact on our work. On a perfect day, you’ll still spend 8-12 minutes per hour waiting on load screens, but we have experienced days in which the sites were down for about 6 hours within an 8 hour day. I feel that our quarterly goals are not constructed with this in mind. Another major con is—like many places now—job security is an issue. AI is taking over the job of many employees, and while we’re told to embrace it, it’s difficult to do so when you could walk in any day and be told to pack your things.
