Pros

The pay, retirement benefits, and the way you are treated are definitely good. Weekends and most holidays off. Yearly annual raises + two bonuses per year. Safety/PSP award cookouts. Lots of new equipment. Overtime after 8 hours daily.

Cons

A lot of dock work in the beginning, but hey no one is going to pay you driver pay ($31+ in the beginning) to drive a forklift around. This company is what you make of it. Have a positive and growth mindset and you will do good. Have a negative mindset and you will have a miserable time. Seniority is everything around here, but that goes with most trucking companies. Expect to do mostly dock work in the beginning if working at a big terminal, if at a small terminal you'll mostly be a combo driver doing city and dock. The dock isn't as bad as most drivers make it seem to be.

Pros

- Insurance benefits are offered to part time employees - Pay is sufficient based on being part time - Management will send some communications regarding big picture matters - There is some leniency regarding calling out of work

Cons

- The requirement to maintain insurance is becoming more difficult - Employees are not paid the same rate simply based on tenor rather than qualifications - Management will rarely, if ever, address direct employee concerns - Leniency for calling out only seems to apply for certain employees - There is no standard of training or written expectations readily available once hired
