Pros

- Mostly steady with minimal layoffs - Stock took a 25% nose dive and this could change the stability

Cons

- Salary is way below market - A public company, run like a private company. Good stop for no more than a year, if you desperately need a job. - It is a tier 3 company - Tier I is google, meta and others, Tier II is Cisco, Palo Alto and others. - The main customer base is SMB and they act that way - Stay away from Marketing. CMO left and a junior manager (SVP?) is running the show. No management skills.

Pros

Solid, stable, predictable. Most people are out of the office by 4 or 5 pm. Life is easy and expectations are low.

Cons

Little support for marketing. Fortinet has too many products and too many product lines - and every product owner is fighting for attention of sales. The company is firmly wedded to it's hardware roots. Fortinet has not invested in internal systems. Reporting is awkard and cumbersome, and adaption on enterprise AI is still a long ways off. There are no women in senior roles.
