Pros
The paycheck clears and that's about it.
Cons
What’s happening at Fresenius Medical Care/NxStage is deeply disturbing, especially within the Supply Chain organization. Four Sr. Buyer Planners, each over the age of 60, were told their positions were being eliminated and given 3–4 months of working notice. As that time progressed, they were then expected to train their younger replacements for the exact same work they had been doing. When employees reached out to the Employee Help Line for clarity, the narrative shifted to say the roles were simply being “downgraded.” The company is clearly trying to cover its tracks, but it’s not hard to see this for what it is: ageism, plain and simple. The VP of the group routinely misleads staff and upper management to protect herself and deflect accountability. Meanwhile, the director, a long-time NxStage employee, openly favors fellow former NxStage colleagues over those from the Fresenius side. Despite the acquisition happening years ago, the divide between “old NxStage” and “legacy Fresenius” is alive and well, and those not in the favored group are slowly being pushed out. The environment has become incredibly toxic. Promotions and perks go to a select few, regardless of performance or ethics. For example, one manager was allowed to travel full-time across the country, bouncing from Airbnbs and national parks while “working remotely” leaving his team without leadership or support for months. Nothing was done because that person was “one of the chosen.” Meanwhile, dedicated team members were sidelined, ignored, or let go. The result? • Morale is in the gutter. • Trust has completely eroded. • The team has gone from collaborative and productive to fractured and dysfunctional. Bottom line: If you care about fairness, transparency, or a healthy work environment, this is not the place for you.
