Pros
Unlimited possibilities, there is tremendous support for people to go beyond their traditional boundaries and explore. GE continually changes itself which opens up opportunity for everyone who wants it.
Cons
Employees that produce less than stellar results are slow to be managed out of the company - especially at the lower (non exec) levels. This can lead to frustration in the folks that take the job seriously and can end up in the good people leaving and the weak staying.
