Pros
It's tough to boil down a great experience into a "pitch" for others, but for what it's worth, joining Gartner was the best professional decision of my career. The professional development alone is huge. We are expected (and trained) to speak with conviction to C-level executives everyday. Gartner gives you the tools to do this well, which creates all kinds of professional opportunities in and of itself.
Cons
Compared to the tech sales industry, turnover seems very low, but is still a factor, especially within the SMB channel. Getting a good-great area manager seems to make the difference. Leadership knows this and is actively working towards trying to close the gap.
