Pros

-Plenty of help from sales development -Fun people -Cost of living in Flordia is minimal -Lots of health benefits -Flexible schedule

Cons

-Just know that if you have a 90% chance of only making base salary -Only a small percentage of 'End User Business development MGRs' actually make a sale first year. -Product is hypotheically and hard to explain to prospects via phone. -Your territory has been burned to the ground and many accounts have Gartner on a do not call list. -Impossible to provide real quantifiable results on how Gartner helps. -local residents in the Fort Myers area hate Gartner employees and be prepared to be treated that way. -First level management, is pretty much people who survived two years and made friends with their mgmt group. -amble drug use -90% of employees are white males

Pros

Terrific coworkers. Nearly everyone at the company is pleasant, professional, and willing to help you even if you’ve never met them before. Hybrid work environment. People generally seem to care about you on an individual level. One of the best corporations I’ve worked for.

Cons

Gartner is not in a great place right now. The business model requires changes and Wall Street analysts have tremendous doubts about the corporate liability in the era of AI. Stock has fallen in half over the past two years. Massive layoffs across the company. Doubt the stability is there for any kind of medium term or long-term career. Below market compensation, offset by pros above when they exist.
