Pros

Growing and very successful company

Cons

Unfortunately Gartner doesn't seem to value its internal workforce and tries to make them feel like they are lucky to be employed by such a company. Gartner also has very strict salary regulations that do not allow employees to move upwards even if they are achieving promotions so you will never progress in terms of salary (it would rather pay an external candidate 80k then promote a high performing 60k employee and pay them 70k as the uplift would be too high no matter the jump in responsibility) However, this is also compounded that Gartner doesn't provide an inclusive atmosphere around this shaming anyone who tries to bring up salary as senior management think it must be kept silent - As you could expect this is due to different people receiving different uplifts every year (even with same performance ratings) as well as employees in same roles being on different bonus levels If this is also brought up there is a complete disregard for the employee and they dismiss it out of hand also releasing communication that salaries must not be discussed internally Advice is if you wish to progress it will not be the place for you but if you're happy to see out your career at a stable company it would be a fit

Pros

- Great health benefits and salary - A few great colleagues - Talk a lot about inclusion but this has slowly been falling to the wayside - I have been struggling the write this for some time as I wish there were more positive things to say

Cons

- Leadership that does not see anyone or anything but themselves - The company has been imploding for a while lying to the public and the street - Killing off the research model has been the final decision that has made many decide to look elsewhere (including me) - Lay off after lay off has created a culture of fear
