Pros

The benefits for sales are amazing- 4 weeks PTO plus Holidays. Compensation is competitive and with uncapped income you make as much as you want- no limits. Work life balance is driven by the individual. Gartner does try to place people in the right position to fit their skill set. If you end up in a position that you are in - your manager should help you look at other Gartner opportunities.

Cons

The sales position is a performance rewarded position. Standards and expectations are high so as with any sales position, if you are not performing then you will be given other options. When promoting internally sometimes the pay will be adjusted as a limited increase from your current position rather than fair compensation for the position.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
