Pros

No Pros at all. Run as far as you can the moment any HR reach out to you from Gartner.

Cons

Managers shape your career. The India MSE team at Gartner, they can destroy it. Gartner India MSE team is nothing short of demons dressed as humans. The managers on that floor are very incompetent, soulless people to ever encounter. Not an ounce of empathy or leadership in them. The entitlement is unbelievable, as if their families own the company and they’re personally paying salaries. The moment you step onto that floor, you feel your soul drain, because that’s exactly what they hunt for: soulless humans who can be controlled. And if you still have one, they’ll make sure to rip it out of you through their so-called “Plan for Success” — which in reality is the exact opposite. 10–15 people have resigned in just the past couple of months, because the environment is deliberately made hostile. Imagine going through a Harvard-level interview process, only to work for such incompetent, ego-driven, insecure managers who leave no opportunity to demean you, crush your confidence, and treat you like dirt. They set unrealistic targets, misalign roles and responsibilities, and then corner you into resignation. If you don’t leave, they’ll put you on PIP or their infamous “Plan for Success” — which is really just a silent layoff strategy. Yes, Gartner doesn’t “officially” lay off, but what they do is far darker: silent layoffs, so they don’t have to pay severance. This place is coated in gold on the outside, but inside it’s pure rot. My only advice: run as far and as fast as you can.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
