Pros

The new Chicago office is taking after headquarters in terms of culture, work ethic, and passion. I love my co workers, and it's truly refreshing to work for a company that values it's employees, encourages work life balance, has a great benefits package, operates with transparency, and provides opportunities to those who want to strive for them. Our CEO is also spreading and supporting the message about equal pay for all, which only makes me even happier that I work for a company that is looking out for the best interest of everyone. Glassdoor never promises to be perfect, if fact, quite the opposite. They openly say that they will make mistakes, and they have, but they will always do what is right by their people. In my experience, that is absolutely true. I trust the leadership team, and I'm excited for what's next, especially with the new Chicago and Dublin offices! There is nothing but opportunity here!

Cons

This is a growing company, which means there will always be a lot of change. Don't get too comfortable in your day to day, instead be ready for whatever may come and make the best of it. With change comes uncertainty, and that's not for everyone. The only difference in salary/overall compensation is dependent on the location of the office, which isn't ideal because household, living, and personal costs in most cities are not cheap, but I get it. Some are certainly more expensive overall, but it depends on your situation as well.

"Don't get too comfortable in your day to day, instead, be ready for whatever may come and make the best of it." This is good advice for all of us. Thanks for your thoughts.

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
