Pros

Glassdoor hires hands down the BEST people. My coworkers 10/10 have my back, are always willing to help, and have become some of my best friends. Every manager I have had also been wonderful. Covid impacted our company heavily, but our sales leadership set realistic quota goals that we could reach. As an organization, I do think that Glassdoor really does care about their employees.

Cons

There are 2 reasons that I don't envision myself at this company in the long run - 1. Maternity leave - I was on leave this year and while out, I was told the information from our benefits that I was given was not correct. It was a very frustrating situation but in general, the parental leave benefit is really lacking. GD offers 12-14 weeks depending on your delivery. My friends at other tech companies are out for 5-6 months. As I am considering expanding my family, I am absolutely looking at companies that would offer more leave. It's disappointing because as a company that wants to be centered on employees, this is one area seriously lacking. 2. We recently partnered with a sister company and work closely with their employees. While there is improvement in that partnership, it feels like GD constantly got the short end of the stick. Both from a systems perspective and how we executed amongst selling teams.

Hello and thanks for the feedback and concerns. We are striving to improve the maternity leave process within the next few months by adding a new concierge (live person) service to manage all questions and help guide our employees from the beginning to the end of a leave of absence (LOA) for maternity, injuries and illnesses. Regardless of where you are located in the USA, they will be able to help you step-by-step on how to file a claim(s) and how much income to expect and resolve any issues you have along the way. We also check in with new moms and dads for 3 months after they return from the LOA to ensure they are doing well integrating back into the workload whether it be in the office or remote. We continually assess our programs against the external market to ensure we remain competitive. Currently, our maternity leave program pays 100% of your weekly salary during the first 6 weeks while on state disability (if applicable) and an additional 100% of pay for 6 weeks to bond with the new family member. We ensure you are paid 100% of your base weekly wages for a minimum of 12 weeks while on a maternity LOA. The additional time is then covered by the state (if applicable ) and our disability carrier at 66.67% or your weekly wages, which we pay 100% of the disability premiums for our employees. Overall, we provide ~4.5 months of LOA for starting a new family. We also offer paid fertility services for our employees in situations where needed. Thanks again and please email benefits@glassdoor.com if we can assist further as you begin your family planning. - Brian Conner, Sr. Director of Total Rewards

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
