Pros

Culture - worked with some of the greatest people I know Middle management - were extremely attentive to our requests and were reliable on the sales floor Work-Life-Balance was incredible!

Cons

C-Suite- after the merger, they changed strategies and became less transparent in process and policy. Constantly avoided answering all-hands questions.

Glassdoor Response

Thanks for providing a candid review. You’ll be glad to know that since 2020, there have been a lot of changes at Glassdoor. We continue to learn and grow together. Though I’m sorry this was not your experience two years ago, our leadership team has worked hard to regularly solicit and act upon employee feedback. For example, recently, employee survey data revealed a disconnect between leadership and our employees on our strategy. In response, our C-Suite provided clear visibility in a company kick-off, follow up materials in email, hosted a leader offsite for reinforcement, and equipped leaders to cascade information to our teams. We’ll continue to provide updates to our people using a number of communication channels and I’m thrilled to be part of this work. Ensuring that our teams understand their very important roles in Glassdoor’s future and strategy and the decisions that may impact them is critical to our success. Our commitment to transparency has never been stronger and we are working closely together to deliver on that promise. We may not always get it perfectly right, but our hearts and intentions are in the right place. We will continue to listen and to improve how we share and communicate key priorities and strategies especially when they impact individuals at the organization. Finally, I’m glad that your experience with our amazing people was so positive. I agree that I’ve had the privilege to work with some of the greatest people of my career here. Our managers care deeply about our people. The work has been hard over the last two years and work-life balance has not been the same as pre-pandemic, but we will continue to look for ways to make it better. Thank you again for your feedback. - Val Roush, Interim Head of Sales

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
