Pros
Supportive coworkers and good virtual healthcare benefit
Cons
- toxic workplace and bullying by management in GME. Very High turnover within divisions - leadership in GME needs extensive leadership training in effective communication and emotional intelligence. Higher ups that some how got promoted, but can’t even read the room * VP singled out a specific employee during a monthly all-hands meeting and consistently made inappropriate comments about employees *Another VP bullied multiple employee and continued with unhinged behavior - program coordinators have to train other program coordinators. Absolutely NO organized training given to new employees - manager was very nonchalant and not effective at communicating expectations and job duties. Expect to constantly consult with peers to get clarification - the unprofessionalism from leadership was SAD- nonconfrontational manager, no meeting notes, no formal email communication announcements -terrible PTO since everything is accumulated into ONE PTO bank (sick days, national holidays, etc.) - absolutely NO MERIT INCREASES - work load is overwhelming and unrealistic. For division directors, you are responsible for over 100+ residents and faculty do not want to teach - faculty are hired but come to find out they don’t have board certification — low morale work environment - abysmal professional development opportunities and no growth
