Pros

Toronto's office is in downtown and conveniently located. The hourly rate is ok. There are some nice people (but you could find nice people everywhere).

Cons

It's unnecessarily stressful environment, with very high pressure on employees and very little value added due to managerial style. Contractors are treated terribly: constant lies, negative feedback, humiliating remarks, much worse working conditions in comparison with full-timers. However full-timers are also under severe pressure and feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless of pressure and hard work of everyone, the deadlines are constantly moving forward, because planning is poor (typical planning fallacy), efficiency of work is low due to disrespectful managerial style. You should be absolutely desperate to go there!

Pros

Good, smart colleagues in other offices.

Cons

At times, decisions appeared to prioritize individual objectives over team needs, which affected collaboration and morale. Greater consideration of team perspectives and shared goals would help build trust and engagement. I observed instances where expectations communicated to the team were not consistently reflected in leadership actions. Greater consistency between stated values and day-to-day decisions would strengthen credibility and confidence within the team.
