Pros
Very good health and retirement benefits.
Cons
Absolute worst fields sales training program. The training and direction I received from my regional sales manager when I started was just to get out there and do it. I appreciate the opportunity to learn by fire however, there was no sales manual or reference to assist along the way. My regional sales manager was in the field with me a total of two times in my first year! I couldn’t believe it, I’ve never experienced anything like it. Not only was he with me only twice, we only went into one account on each outing! He never once rode with me on a cold calling day. I was absolutely shocked on the lack of involvement and guidance from management within the field. Management is so concerned with their metrics and investment in their sales software to give actual tangible assistance with their sales consultants in the field. This was extremely frustrating because I had no experience within the healthcare industry. My teammates were very helpful with advice however they had their own territories to worry about. The guidance from management was appalling. I would receive useless speeches from them about don’t complicate things and keep it simple but never any useful tangible strategic assistance on how to develop a day to day strategic sales plan. Extremely disappointing. Management was more worried about activity on Salesforce instead of the field. Very big brother oriented.
