Pros
Big brand name: Leading Global 500 Fortune ICT company - for now. High pay to lure people in dead-end jobs. None really.
Cons
No work life balance. Calls at midnight, weekends, annual leaves, at hospitals. Expected to work 24/7 as human robot. No respect to human rights, employee rights and work/life balance. What's worse, it's normal to many Huawei employees to call you at hospital bed, or your children’s birthday party, they expect you to come office. Bad culture. Company culture is based on Army culture: rules, regulations, violations, punishments. Locals are treated as second class employee aka slaves, never promoted to key C-level positions. Your position will be replaced with Chinese or a new Local at any given time. Firing is the easiest act in Huawei. Profits before people. Stolen hardwork. You will be asked to do other people (chinese) jobs, but not paid or graded for it. Then, you see Chinese get awards, promotions, salary increases for your hard-work. Because of bad company culture, bad reputation in the market if you work at Huawei. Not recommend anyone to work here. Unless you want to be in Chinese prison for many years, until you get better offer from another company.
