Pros
- You get to learn the job and have industrial experience. - Easy to get in for fresh graduates. - Might be a chance for Masters or Doctorate students for research.
Cons
Where should I start... - Literally too much unpaid overtimes. No work-life balance. - If you don't do overtime enough, you don't get a reasonable raise. - Raises are generally not reasonable. Fresh graduates gets paid more than you next year. - If you get late to work 3 times (let's say by 20 mins, or leave 1 minute earlier), they cut half of your vacation days. - Unreasonable Chinese managers. - You only get a thin client to work with most of the times. The only way to get a laptop is it must be necessary (field job etc.) - Some of the projects are meant to fulfill your manager's KPI, no meaning, waste of time jobs.
