      Workers are typically excellent and motivated to do the job

      Cons

      Management often disconnected from reality and arrogance, good-old boy network reign Turf battles exist and left hand doesn't often know what the right hand is doing No training--trial by fire environment Most haven't worked in pharma so don't understand the clients

      Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

      Cons

      Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

      The layoffs were handled quietly and unexpectedly, even though there were some early signs. They didn’t share who else was affected, but it was clearly more than just me.

      They’re doing layoffs in phases, and my position was part of the most recent round.
