Pros

Working remotely is great. Unlimited PTO is great as well. My direct line manager is amazing. He is very understanding and reasonable. He and my other colleagues make working at IQVIA worth it most of the time.

Cons

I have been very fortunate to have survived 2 rounds of lay offs during my tenure with IQVIA. The direction of the company is one of uncertainty. In the past two rounds of lay offs my colleagues lost their positions to off shoring. If you live in the United States it's not worth applying, your job will eventually be off shored if you are hired. Other managers appear cold. Working with managers that are unpersonable does not create a pleasant work environment. The best way to sum up most of the managers is they are fake; asking a few friendly questions, getting to the topic of conversation, that's all normal. The next time you speak with them it's like you're meeting for the first time, they do not remember you as a colleague. This will occur numerous times with different managers. The training provided is satisfactory, Communication appears open, the company speaks a lot about being transparent. However, that is not completely true in my opinion. My former colleagues have consistently reported otherwise as well. The CEO is very removed and a for lack of better words, clueless about operations. Health benefits are lacking. A company of this size could offer better benefits, IQVIA could also offer a better, or more, 401K options and match. The company is more about lining the stakeholders pockets than they are about caring for their employees.

Pros

Great pay initially, especially after negotiating. People are very smart and willing to meet for networking and learning opportunities. Flexibility and work life balance is by far the best perk - especially since many roles are fully remote.

Cons

Merit raises have been subpar the last 4 years and do not come close to keeping with inflation, consistently the company cites great EBITDA growth but that never is shown in bonuses nor merit raises despite receiving “exceeds expectations” ratings. Parental leave is a nominal. Very easy to get “lost in the sauce” of such a large company.
