Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review about your time in Marketing for Indeed. We’re really proud as a business to be able to offer our employees unlimited PTO, flexibility and a wealth of perks. There are endless ways for employees to gain different experiences and we try to do all that we can to make the internal move process as simple as possible. We’re sorry to hear that you did not feel this was the case. As we continue to grow and evolve as a company, we want our employees to have opportunities to do the same. Career advancement at Indeed is something we’re really passionate about. We actively encourage employees to have ongoing conversations with their managers about their career growth. Our internal employee development page offers different career planning toolkits to help guide career conversations and explore future opportunities. We’ve also just launched our internal career pathing tool ‘M.A.D.E. #insideindeed’, which is focused on fostering continuous creative thinking during an Indeedian’s career path. It’s very tough for us to hear that you experienced a toxic environment and bad leadership, as this is definitely not the type of feedback we want to hear. We try to hire authentic and inspiring leaders who support of employees to be the best version of themselves at work. As with most businesses (and people) we’re not perfect and do get things wrong now and again, so we appreciate your feedback.

Pros

I loved the talented people I worked with; I appreciated being appreciated; I loved helping employers hire; and I really thought this would be the company I retired from.

Cons

The company culture changed significantly after it became publicly traded; I didn't particularly care for how they handled layoffs; they didn't always act on the feedback they received; and they were slow to jump on the AI train.
