Pros

Chill life. Usually there are long periods of no work or bench or even in projects. Huge infrastructure so you can pass your time well by roaming around.

Cons

During a project, Leads don't care till the last moment and then all of a sudden drop the ball on the lower level analysts who have to go through hell. And when it is presented to the manager, there are more changes and total rework. Most managers have no idea about Data science and there is no top down knowledge sharing in the company. There is usually no technical expertise and 90% of the job falls on the analysts who themselves can be fresh college graduates. Some knowledgeable managers with good projects ask for your multi year commitment before they take you in the project. If you hesitate or refuse you will not be considered no matter how skilled you are. There are hardly any data science projects in this company. Most are ETL and data management. Some managers who cant get a single project and keep doing internal POCs act like they own the place. Totally rude and unprofessional. The talent mapping managers have no idea of the requirements of the project and recruit absolute beginners with mismatched skills. Then the analyst has to go through the low rating. Appraisals are a joke in this company. It is so easy to predict who will get the top rating in your team. Managers show favoritism and keep boot lickers close. All appreciation of your hard work is just by stupid thank you mails and verbal. When it comes to Hikes, you will lose more money due to inflation than what you get in a hike. Work from home ? Fixed to 9 days a month. 9hours 15 mins per day swipe ins and outs To deliver laptops during COVID, it took them 6 months. You are not valued until you put down your papers. As soon as you put down your papers they try to retain you by making all false promises. They will be ready to give you anything because they realize your value. But it is too late by then usually. Basically this company is just place where employees are bought in cheap. Most of the money coming from clients is put into board of directors and CEOs pockets. You will earn more money if you hold shares of this company that by working here because this type of exploitation of humans will definitely grow the company but no the people.
