Pros

Steady job, good learning and development intranet, some opportunities to get certifications. Nice selection of clients, if you can manage to get a choice/ option there is a good stock. As with the industry norm, diversity and inclusion is at an all time high push .. even if paid maternity leave was only introduced 3 yrs ago. Yes .... there was actually no paid maternity or paternity leave, (ask about 401k ....)

Cons

Narrative and your review based pretty much on what the engagement manager made of your work ( and equation with him). Do a fabulous job, get rave reviews but if you aren't the fav ... you will get the medium average rating. Find your own way to get noticed, extraordinary efforts to get even slight recognition. Also luck of the draw. Salary is what you bargain when you join. After that you can forget about anything more than a few hundred dollars bump for 5-8 yrs (unless you get promoted , which is a huge effort and favor that you will be made to pay for)

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
