Pros

Joined Infosys after studying MBA as an Associate Consultant. - Good training facilities in ES Academy in Hyderabad. - Lot of SAP testing projects in IVS unit. Scope of learning multiple modules is good. - Onsite opportunities are available for US and Europe mostly. - Working on SAP testing projects there is good scope to learn end to end and non end to end business processes. Helps to understand things from a business perspective before moving into a SAP implementation role. - Yearly hikes at offshore - Got several opportunities to take KT sessions for freshers and at a DU level.

Cons

- At onsite there is no career growth. Responsibilities keep changing depending on resource availability. - Managers after getting green card, hardly get involved in work and delegate all responsibilities team members. - No/Rare hikes at onsite. - Managers do not support career aspirations within the company even if considerable time was spent in a single role. - Promotion and good CRR ratings will usually be provided only when employee puts his/her papers. - The unit i am working in is strongly dominated by Mahrashtrians (esp at PM, SPM, GPM and DM level) who are only comfortable to work with other Maharashtrians at Offshore and Onsite. People from other regions in India have to prove a lot more and spend a lot more years in the company than an average Maharashtrian employee for onsite opportunity. - Traveling to office from city to the outskirts in offshore is very exhausting.

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
