Pros

Intel provides a great place to start a career. If you can find the right group to work for, you learn attention to detail and great discipline to get things done. They have a lot of smart people there and they all work pretty hard. Once you leave Intel, people respect the fact that you've been there especially if you stay in the semiconductor industry. There seems to be an "Intel Mystique" everywhere you go.

Cons

Like all big companies, decisions take forever and it often adversely affects execution.
