Pros
Flexible (most groups emphasize a work life balance) Finance has a rotation program that enables one to rotate to a new role every 18-24 months if interested.
Cons
1) Bureaucracy 2) Intel Finance = career logjam. It is ok for the first few years but you will soon realize that there is very limited opportunity for advancement to the manager level or above. 3) Intel Finance management = coasting and checked out. Most of the senior managers at Intel Finance in Arizona have been with the company 15 or 20 years and are just there to collect a paycheck (if you can find them). Intel has a great sales pitch that they want Type A personalities that want to work hard and advance, but there is a serious disconnect between those they recruit and senior management - many of whom are incompetent & likely could not land a job elsewhere.
