Pros

It may sound cliched - but the best thing about working at Intuit is the people. I made long lasting relationships and friendships there. And for a time I looked forward to going to work every day. The ability to be casual in the office is also a great plus - no one wants to be suited and booted every day!

Cons

Something about the culture and environment at Intuit is changing. People are leaving - in droves, myself included. The culture isn't being translated to the new employees so they've lost a bit of what makes them special. While there are some fantastic leaders at Intuit, the leadership of the team I worked for was toxic. It decimated morale. The hardest workers were going unrecognised, work life balance became non-existent and there was an air of demotivation. This was not helped by the fact that some people in the team get away with delivering absolutely nothing, because no one in management is stepping in. This is a problem in many organisations of course, but I cannot understand how people who spend months doing absolutely nothing, just talking about plans, getting others to do their work and never delivering go unchecked. It baffled me. I kept thinking, what's the point of killing myself when it's okay to do nothing. At the point of my leaving the company was unrecognisable from what it was. Some of the best and brightest had left. Honestly I hope that changes made to the leadership and the removal of the toxic elements brings the company back to greatness, but I'm not holding my breath.

Pros

Benefits are amazing, medical insurance, vision and dental. Company match on 401K and volunteer time off.

Cons

They keep making decisions to outsource jobs to contract workers who don't share the same value in training or customer care. Oh they say they do but when you catch the listening to music so loud you can't hear the customer, or literally snoring on the line they can't do anything because of the way the contracts are set up. It is up to the contract company and the contract company just needs warm bodies. They did not even supply enough people doing our busiest season this year to co or the shifts that were required in the contract. So good luck with that. They will always eventually lay you off.
