Pros
My team at least had a friendly and knowledgeable group of people that were willing to help when able and share knowledge. Had good experiences interacting with another team regularly as well. Have a lot of training tools and options that you can utilize on your own time for free. Offer to cover the cost of AWS exams and provide resources to help you get certified.
Cons
Horrible open floor office space, with mandated return to office at least 3 times a week which is actively monitored. Instead of trusting employees to do their best work in the manner that suits them best, the higher ups want to micromanage. They force people to commute into Downtown Chicago to sit and hop on Zoom meetings which could've been done at home. Did not offer any salary increase or bonuses the entire time I worked there, including in the face of huge inflation, effectively leading to a pay-cut.
