Pros

No pros were left by the time I left.

Cons

Picture working in hell for a day and this would be a great interpretation of working at Sciquest. I watched over half of the company get terminated due to poor planning of the company that purchased Sciquest and now they are scrambling due to being understaffed. But hey a majority of those people are actually a lot happier with their new jobs. Sciquest cannot even get good people to interview because they refuse to compensate anyone properly. I wanted to stick it out until bonuses but when I heard the bonuses would not be what they were promised I could not take it anymore. As mentioned numerous times on this website the current CMO is an absolute terror. I do not even think he has any proper marketing experience. Sciquest had never had a strong CMO in the years I was there but this guy makes the previous personnel look like rockstars. I only had to work with him once but members of my team worked with him frequently and everyone always said the same things. This guy is incapable of making a decision and I do not believe he even knows what a marketing strategy is. Sales have decreased because the ET cannot make a decision or focus. The culture has plummeted and Human Resources is doing nothing to bring it back up (P.S.: painting the walls does not make the past go away). I have also heard from friends that work there still they are taking away the work from home policy.

Pros

The people - that is, the actual people doing all the work. I met some of my favorite people ever working here, and it's the only reason I don't entirely regret the experience.

Cons

Some of the worst leadership hires I've seen. And when things didn't work out? They fired them and somehow found even more incompetent replacements, all while pushing out the brilliant people who actually kept JAGGAER afloat. If Vista Equity Partners wants ROI, they should probably start with the outdated tech (don't get me started on "JAI" lol). Or maybe an actual GTM strategy? But no, surely a few more bad exec hires, layoffs, and outsourcing rounds will help you on the next Gartner Magic Quadrant. Fingers crossed!
