Pros
I worked at SciQuest (now Jaggaer), before the mass layoffs. The people I worked with were incredible. It was a pleasure coming in to work every day. It was a very relaxed environment to work in. Flexible hours and work from home days were also a huge plus. Everyone was willing and eager to help one another. The teamwork aspect was top-notch.
Cons
After SciQuest was acquired by Accel-KKR, the now former CEO called a meeting with the entire company. People were concerned for their jobs, and rightfully so. We were told that we'd barely notice any changes in the company, and he adamantly stated that no one was in danger of losing their job. He stressed this point 3 or 4 times. Sadly, within about a month, they began laying people off one department at a time. Needless to say, employee morale was extremely low for the next 4-6 weeks, as people were just waiting around to see if they would be the next one on the chopping block. Definitely not a good experience. And the lack of transparency from the new C-level executives was disrespectful and lacked any integrity. It wasn't long before the few people that were retained began to jump ship, one after the other. I wouldn't recommend Jaggaer if you're looking for stability and career development. The future of the company is uncertain.
