Pros

can hardly think of any other than it shares the KPMG brand

Cons

Extremely detached senior leadership especially the business unit heads Business unit heads generally have low level of understanding of the type of work done by various teams. Denial by the leadership that KGS is a BPO/KPO, when in reality work done by large number of people is backend in nature. Even in teams like due diligence, forensics, accounting advisory often quality of work is fairly basic high levels of favoritism excessive dependence on expats to drive business which has resulted in lack of stable leadership. key people seem to change every 2-3 years.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
