Pros

KPMG is a good place to start your career. You get a lot of training and exposure into various industries. They offer a clear career ladder with specific time increments at each level. The culture is very youthful, and the teams and classes are usually pretty well bonded. National training are originally perks, but then become tedious.

Cons

The hours are the worst. It is common to work nights and weekends for busy seasons which can last for several months. It is not uncommon to work from 8am-midnight (or later) everyday for a month straight. The pay also is not great, so you often end up working for less than minimum wage.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
