Pros

great diversity of clients, engagements and types of work. the staff are pretty awesome too. and they allow wfh/office/client site which is great.

Cons

the leadership doesn't look after you and make sure you'll have billable work, then they make out that at the junior levels you need to be worried if you don't have enough billable hours. they'll pull your bonus because they're not making enough money - but you don't have to worry about your job security - yet they will still promote multiple partners. the workload can be ridiculous (multiple 18 hour days). you will get pigeon holed so be careful which engagements you get on if you have any choice.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
