      Pros

      1) Great exposure to variety of industries and companies 2) Get to work of various audit testing and working paper that can help to build your foundation in audit 3) Good progression system

      Cons

      1) Tone deaf leadership, do not understand what the associates are struggling and is everyone for themselves. Most seniors won't have time to guide and will leave you alone, and most of the time you will be blame for mistakes which is no fault if your own. Want everything to be on time and completed but when issues were brought up, there is no resolution from the top. Somemore, staffs are plunged into the work without any training. Office politics is heavy, if you not on your managers friendly side, you get put into PIP

      Pros

      It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

      Cons

      Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
