Pros

High paced work environment with a focus on achievement Very capable and smart coworkers Organizational values are defined and used Good salary, good education benefits Credibility comes from knowledge and demonstrated ability to get things done

Cons

Not for the timid- you must set your own course for development as no one will pull you along. If you're one to wait for an opportunity to be given in recognition then you'll always be waiting. Hard work- work life balance is respected, but you get the balance- you can't be at every family event, home by 5:30 and still expect to move up the ladder. Working at Lam requires real choices. Be prepared to stand up for yourself and your ideas- a room full of achievers means everything gets challenged- and be prepared to be wrong.

Pros

Good pay with decent benefits.

Cons

Highly toxic in certain (not all) business units. Directors and above held to far lower standards than employees. I received a lot of abuse from my manager and when I reacted, she used it against me over the course of five years, resulting in my launching an ER investigation upon which resulted in my termination. (They weren't even adult enough to tell me I was being fired; I found out by accident when I received a termination paycheck). Would love to recommend, but would never recommend Lam based on the treatment I got from my entire leadership chain over a five year period. PS, pretty sure retaliation of this nature is against the law; looking into it.
