It's far too large and corporate for my own liking now. I used to be able to have a lot of time to do meaningful engineering. Now most of it is spent doing meaningless bureaucratic paper work. There's too many program managers who ask for updates and then do nothing to resolve road blocks for you but are happy to get credit for running a "smooth" program. There's no career progression here really. It's just a matter of chance and who above you leaves or what budget allows.
