Pros
Decent flexibility in terms of work life balance. Pay is okay
Cons
Massively declined since I joined. The higher management have instilled a culture of fear through tick-box performance goal, layoffs and yearly skills assessments with the goal of putting people on PIP and replacing them with offshore colleagues. It is a blatant cost-cutting exercise and there is 0 transparency across the organisation. Mistakes are used to build up a case against people in order to eventually replace / get rid of them. Rarely get recognition for hard work because other people (on the business side) commonly nominate each other and ignore the hard work of the engineers. It’s more of a popularity contest than a functional workplace. Socials have been cut down on over time and there’s generally not much effort put in to taking care of staff, especially from a mental health perspective. A model organisation for how not to treat talented engineers. Progression is dreadful and any conversation over pay rises are always rejected. Nothing particularly redeeming about it.
