Pros
Great benefits package- pension, shares, holiday buy and sell, Bupa, cycle to work. Decent pay. Flexible employer
Cons
Lloyds used to be a great place to work where people actually cared about others and treated each other with respect. In recent years though the focus has changed and they have lost their friendly caring culture. There are a lot of lifers, people seem to stay in the same roles and at LBG forever. Lots of opportunities for development and career progression, but this is not led or helped by senior employees but the onus is put on you to push and develop yourself. People are promoted for no reason and not based on merit or experience. Most of the middle managers are inexperienced and untrained and have just got there through length of service rather than qualifications. Poor management defines Lloyds and too many meetings that are pointless. Too much focus on time in office rather than actual performance Toxic culture of monitoring employees through card swipes Meant to be a very diverse and family friendly place to work according to their values but the reality is very different. Little understanding for families and not flexible at all.
