LMMFC ... not a place for innovation - Software Engineer Lockheed Martin Employee Review

Pros

Right out of college, no experience necessary. LM only hires the brightest, but, the quality of work performed doesn't match the expectations of a new hire. It puts a foot in the door to new engineers. I would say it's a good place to start. But, unfortunately, not a good place to sharpen your skills.

Cons

It's not really interesting. there's no design work to be performed, just support. If you're a new hire, you'll be more of a technical secretary in/out of the job.

Pros

High level of integrity throughout the company, open communications, and sincere interest in doing the right thing.

Cons

Unfortunately, I need to come up with twenty words of cons. When in reality after 41+ years in IT, I have no cons for Lockheed Martin. They are not perfect, but highly acceptable.
