Pros
I enjoyed some of the people I worked with. The pay is good and paycheck is dependable. The benefits are plentiful but expensive and deductible is extremely high.
Cons
I was laid off after 15 years of service and lost pension. I planned to retire from the company but was walked out without even consideration of jobs that were currently open and that I qualified for. The environment is stale and quiet. Sitting in a maze of cubes in complete silence without windows can be very depressing. The only thing that keeps you from losing your mind is every other Friday off. They do nothing to build morale.
